Henry Baker College has taken steps to conserve rain water in our campus. For this, an open well recharge mechanism is connected to the well with a desilting RCC Tank. The rainwater is collected through the pipes from all terraces and is connected in series, so that the runoff from these terraces will fall into the rainwater storage tank in the back of the building. When this tank overflows, water flows to the well located to the nearby tank used for the preservation of Nakshtravanam. It is a noble attempt to preserve water. 4mm pipe is used to drain water from the terrace. The collected water is also made available to the neighbourhood.
