Henry Baker College, Melukavu, a Christian minority, co-educational, Government – aided Arts and Science College, is owned and managed by the Henry Baker Educational Society of the C.S.I East Kerala Diocese. Established in 1981, the college is named in honour of Rev. Henry Baker (Jr), the pioneering CMS missionary, who guided the natives of this region to emancipate themselves from the darkness of ignorance to the light of knowledge. The founding fathers of the college had the singular aim of enlightening the marginalized populace of the nearby areas by providing them quality education. True to their ardent desire, the college stands as a beacon of light for the last four decades. It extends endless opportunity before them and facilitates them to reach their destiny. Adhering to its motto “From Darkness to Marvellous Light,” the college is committed to disseminate the lamp of wisdom in the young minds in order to accomplish the true purpose of education.
