Our Residence Hall-Amelia is an integral part of the college since its inception in 1981.It is well-equipped for the women students and staff of Henry Baker College. It is located outside the campus next to St. Luke’s CSI Church, Caleyland. It got renamed as Amelia in 2020 after the beloved mother of Rev. Henry Baker Jr, who is well known for her heroic and selfless work in uplifting women. It can accommodate Inmates. It is managed by a Committee under the chairmanship of the College Principal. A staff warden and Warden are appointed by the honorable Bishop of CSI East Kerala Diocese to administer the day to day affairs. The hostel contributes profusely to the proclaimed aim of the college to lead the students ‘From Darkness into Marvellous Light’ by constantly providing them ample facilities both in academic and non-academic realms.The significance of well-maintained hostel in the college is indisputable with regard to the geographical area where the college is situated and the target group of stakeholders. Our hostel is a safe haven for the women students from across the length and breadth of the state. The management, the staff of the college and the hostel are indeed committed to meet the hopes and demands of the students and parents.The rooms are equipped with cot, mattress, cupboard, table and chair. Hostels are also equipped with TV, Computer and Wi-Fi facility, News Paper and indoor games like Table Tennis, Chess, Caroms etc. The rooms can be offered on twin or three sharing basis, as per the preference of the students. Well equipped washrooms are there to ensure the cleanliness. They are well maintained on a daily basis by dedicated housekeeping staff. The hostel is protected by highrise walls, CCTV and is under the watch of security 24x7.
