Hospitality Management as a field requires aspirants to possess good communication skills as well as an impressive personality. In addition to the internship offered by the syllabus, the department provides training to the students on various occasions like Job Fair,..... Etc held in the college.
PAPER CRAFT & BOTTLE ART

Paper craft is a collection of art forms employing paper or card as the primary artistic medium for the creation of three-dimensional objects. it is the art of creating artistic items out of a waste newspapers and magazines.
Bottle painting is an ingenious and elegant way to renew life into a once discarded bottle. In the training session, the students will learn all the tricks to transform glass bottles into easy & inexpensive home decor. These can be used as vases or simply as home décor accents. DESTINATION VISIT - MUNNAR & VATTAVADA

DESTINATION VISIT- MUNNAR & VATTAVADA
As Part of the curriculum, the department has set its first academic outdoor
activity for the 2019- 2022 batch on 6th September 2019 - A Destination Visit to
Munnar and Vattavada. Munnar, a hill station and former resort for the British Raj
elite, it’s surrounded by rolling hills dotted with tea plantations established in the
late 19th century. Vattavada, a virtually rain shadow village, lying in the eastern
side of the Western Ghats near to Marayur and north side of Munnar. This place is.
fondly known as the market of Kerala.
TOURISM HANDBOOK- LIGHTNING CIRCUIT

A handbook named ‘Lightning Circuit- കിഴക്കൻ കകോട്ടയത്തിന്റെ
സൗന്ദര്യ ഭൂപടം’ was prepared by the students of Tourism department.
The purpose of the book is to give a record about the scenic beauty of the
nearby tourist spots in Melukavu. This book was released by Shri.S
Rajendran, MLA Devikulam on 19th September 2019.
CYCLOTHON - Anti Drug Awareness Campaign

As part of the social responsibility, a cycling was conducted by the department on
18th October 2019 from Melukavu to Kodanad. This cycling was flagged off by
the Sub Inspector of Police, Melukavu.
The objectives of the program were:
1. To spread awareness to ensure drug free campus.
2. To prevent the initiation of drug use among the teenagers.
3. To visit school students and motivate them through anti narcotic
campaign.
4. To distribute book leafs which contain anti narcotic messages.
5. Motivate students to become Volunteers of anti-drug activities in their
life.
RESPONSIBLE TOURISM

The department initiated a project based on Responsible Tourism in order to
make each individual aware about the fact of being responsible towards the
society and tourism.
The aim of the program was - To educate the people of the area on
responsible tourism and take necessary steps to promote responsible tourism
in the region in cooperation with the people. For that, on 29th October 2019
with the cooperation of the College Management and Melukavu Grama
Panchayat, a Ward (Ward No 12) was adopted by the students of Tourism
department to transform the chosen area into a fully self-sufficient area
WATER POTS FOR BIRDS

As part of the World Wildlife Day on 3rd March 2020, our department has
initiated the act of keeping water pots in our college for the beautiful birds
out there to quench its thirst. Our beloved principal Dr. G S Gireesh Kumar
sir inaugurated this humanitarian act by keeping the water pots.
The aim of the programme was to raise awareness of the multitude of
benefits of wildlife to people and thereby to conserve the flora and fauna.
