NSS & Anti-Narcotic Cell Organize Re-Connecting Youth Anti-Drugs Campaign
The National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit No. 054 and the Anti-Narcotic Cell of Henry Baker College, Melukavu, in association with the District Legal Services Authority, Kottayam, and the Meenachil Taluk Legal Services Committee, Pala, organized an anti-drugs campaign titled 'Re-Connecting Youth' on February 21, 2025. The event featured an exhibition, a signature campaign, and an awareness class, emphasizing the dangers of drug abuse.
The program was inaugurated by Sri. Krishnaprabhan, Hon’ble Judicial First Class Magistrate, Erattupetta, with a presidential address delivered by the college principal, Prof. Dr. Gireesh Kumar G. S. Subject presentations on the NDPS Act and the impact of drug abuse were delivered by experts, including Adv. Suman Sundar Raj and Prof. K. P. Joseph, fostering awareness among students.
The event was led by Dr. Jibin Mathew and Ashly Mereena Mathew, NSS Programme Officers, along with Dr. Jincy Devasia, Anti-Narcotic Cell Coordinator.
