Our students are interested in dug their fingers into a patch of soil in HBC campus as most of them come from farmers’ families. Interestingly, we can see in the preceding years of our students’ campus life that there are students who want to be around vegetable plants and not spend their college period worrying about pre-educational stuff. Nowadays, our students are more interested in campus vegetable gardens because it’s something within their control. There are students who lack nutritional value; in this context, our Vegetable Garden tries to get around this nutritional barrier. We have different varieties of vegetable herbs, beans, tomatoes, etc. and our campus garden activities of our students inculcate in them a habit of sustainability, nutritional thought, and ultimately self-sufficiency by the time when they are back at home. We use the natural manure from the Compost Pit for the vegetation and cultivation of this garden.
